How to use BK control transformer to ensure safe lighting in factory workshops?

2025-03-26

1. Core functions: safe voltage conversion and isolation protection

(1) Voltage conversion to safety extra low voltage (SELV)
BK control transformers can reduce the workshop's 380V or 220V AC power to safe voltages such as 36V, 24V, and 12V. For example, in scenes prone to electric shock, such as driving and metal processing equipment, using lighting with voltage below 36V will not cause fatal harm to the human body even if the line leaks or the equipment casing is energized.

(2) Dual-winding isolation design
BK transformers use independent primary and secondary windings (non-autocoupled structure) to physically isolate high and low voltage circuits and prevent primary fault voltage from entering the secondary side. For example, autocoupled transformers are explicitly prohibited, while the BK series meets the dual-winding safety isolation requirements.

(3) Anti-interference and harmonic suppression
Some BK models have built-in filtering functions to eliminate third harmonic interference and prevent grid fluctuations from causing lighting flickering or equipment malfunctions. For example, near high-interference equipment such as welding machines, this type of transformer can stabilize the lighting system.

2. Installation and configuration specifications

(1) Dedicated control box deployment
According to standard requirements, the transformer should be installed in a control box with protection level:
Primary and secondary side separate control: The front of the control box is a 380V/220V input interface (primary side), and the back is a safe voltage output interface (secondary side) to avoid accidental contact with the high-voltage part.
Grounding protection: The secondary side output terminal must be reliably grounded to the transformer casing to prevent leakage accumulation.

(2) Line and lamp selection
Weather-resistant cable: The lighting line must use weather-resistant rubber sheathed copper core soft cable, and joints are prohibited.
Explosion-proof and protective lamps: In dusty, oily or humid areas, use explosion-proof lamps with IP65 protection level, and output 12V-36V safe voltage through the BK transformer.

(3) Capacity matching and redundant design
Capacity calculation: Select the transformer capacity (such as 1000VA, 3000VA, etc.) according to the total power of the lighting load, and reserve 20% margin to cope with the instantaneous starting current.
Multi-way control: Large workshops can use multiple BK transformers to provide power to different areas. For example, the driving area can use the JMB-3000VA model independently to avoid single-point failures that cause lighting interruptions in the entire workshop.

3. Environmental adaptability and reliability enhancement

(1) Weather and earthquake resistance design
Temperature and humidity adaptability: The BK series supports -5℃~+40℃ environments. The silicon steel sheet core and vacuum varnishing process ensure insulation performance under high humidity.
Vibration-resistant structure: EI shell or vertical installation is adopted, and the laminated core and epoxy resin encapsulation reduce the impact of mechanical vibration.

(2) Heat dissipation and overload protection
Low-loss materials: Cold-rolled silicon steel sheets and copper wires reduce heat generation during operation, combined with the heat dissipation hole design of the control box.
Fuse configuration: Integrate LS3-2 main switch and fuse in BZ lighting transformer to quickly cut off the fault circuit in case of short circuit.
